Seva Retreat Sri Lanka
Travel the world - Find Inner Peace - Be of Service
Nil Manel Foundation and Let’s Imagine Non-Profit invite you to a healing and harmonizing getaway that combines yoga and service on a two-week retreat with Ayurveda treatments and meditation throughout the course of the retreat.
Seva is selfless and devotional service. Seva makes your heart larger, more generous and full of universal love. Our yoga seva retreat connects you with an opportunity for adventure, exploring the culture Sri Lanka, practicing yoga and giving back with volunteer work.
In the lusciously green environment of Sri Lanka, you can easily let go and connect to your peaceful inner-self. Re-energize in a small circle of daily yoga and meditation practices. Treat your body to the organic, fresh fruits and vegetables, taste the exotic spices of Sri Lankan local cuisine, experience the fascinating flora and fauna on recharging yoga hikes to waterfalls, through tea plantations and on unforgettable service adventures with rescued elephants and sea turtles.
Projects include helping care for turtles at the sea turtle hatchery, assisting locals with essential care for rescued elephants, helping plant mangrove trees and socializing and helping prepare food for local dogs. Meet Your Teachers
Kimberly is a sunshine loving yogini from NJ. She has been teaching yoga since 2015. She began her journey in NJ where she completed her 200 HR training with a yoga alliance accredited school. She then taught for 2 years before traveling to Rishikesh, India to advance her studies and complete her 300 HR training at Anadi Yoga Centre. In her classes, Kim guides her students through mindful flows with a strong focus on foundation, breath and alignment. She encourages you to tune into your experience, draw intentionality into your practice and learn to recognize your strengths on and off your mat. In addition to teaching Vinyasa and Hatha classes, Kim is a Kids Yoga Teacher and the Founder of Let’s Imagine Inc., a registered non-profit dedicated to improving the well-being of youth and our planet by teaching youth practical skills for health and well-being.
Maggy is a 200HR certified instructor in Vinyasa (from Ra Yoga) and holds a 15hr training in Yin. She is also currently finishing her 300HR certification through Be the Change Yoga with a foundation in yoga therapy. Yoga arrived in 2013 and has never left Maggy's life. At first, she focused on a strong physical practice that brought much needed confidence and assurance, but she truly began to live the practice when the mindfulness and breath merged. The mental and spiritual benefits led her to take steps to begin to heal others and share the practice of yoga. Maggy teaches a variety of studio classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Meditation, Gentle/Restorative, and Yin. She loves the uniqueness in each students practice and will help you customize to your body and your breath. When Maggy is away from the studio she enjoys surfing, hiking, traveling, and working with kids. She currently volunteers teaching teens yoga for a non-profit in Southern California.
